For the third season in a row Courtney Richey has been honored with a first-team All-State spot.
The Humboldt pitcher and shortstop led the team to an undefeated record during her senior season.
Cub coach Brad Piley says she will be greatly missed next season. “She was very consistent offensively, defensively and with her pitching,” Piley said. “She has been our main pitcher for the last four years and has been a great part of the team.”
Piley said he is confident his team can replace Richey’s production.
“It is going to be hard to replace her, but it seems like we have to replace people every year,” Piley said. “We are going to miss her but we will find somebody to fill in.”
