EMPORIA — Aaron True of Southern Coffey County High is ending his senior track and field season with a bang — and plenty of gold.

True captured first place in three events at Friday’s Lyon County League Meet, winning the long jump, triple jump and javelin.

Walker Harred, meanwhile, is the LCL champion in the shot. He also took silver in the discus.

True and Harred led the way as the Titans took second as a team, behind league champion Olpe. Southern Coffey County’s girls took eighth as a team. Chenae Newkirk took third in the girls 1600 meters and fourth in the 800 meters.
