LEONARDVILLE — Yates Center High senior Nick Schemper capped his high school golf career in grand style Tuesday.
Schemper brought home fifth place at the State Sand Greens Tournament, hosted by Leonardville Golf Course.
Schemper fired a 76, two strokes behind Riley County’s John Burnett in fourth. Devon Freeman of Rock Hills earned top honors with a 69.
Rock Hills also had the top team score of 317, one shot better than St. John’s of Beloit.
