Schinstock earns Class 4A state softball honors

Iola High's Kailey Schinstock earned second-team all Class 4A softball honors for her work this season on the softball diamond. Molly Proper earned second-team honors in Class 2-1A.

Iola High’s Kailey Schinstock racked up another honor following her stellar softball season for the Fillies.

Schinstock,  a senior, netted second-team all-Class 4A state honors as an infielder.

The designation was announced by the Wichita Eagle.

Schinstock, who will take her talens to the diamond at Allen Community College next season, owns Iola’s single-season records for batting average (.537), hits (36) and doubles (10.)

ELSEWHERE, Yates Center’s Molly Proper earned second-team honors in Class 2-1A. 

Proper, a sophomore, Proper batted.608 while tying  the school record with eight home runs, and scoring a team-high 59 runs.
