Marmaton Valley, Crest and Humboldt racked up the accolades from state officials as six area players were recognized with spots on the All-State Baseball Team.

Marmaton Valley senior pitcher Tyler Lord, Crest senior Drake Weir and Humboldt sophomore Ty Shaughnessy received Second Team honors while Crest seniors Jensen Barker, Henry White and MVHS senior Garrett Morrison received honorable mentions.

Lord, who currently plays alongside White and Shaughnessy for the local American Legion team, was named to the second team after surpassing the 150-strikeout milestone and the 100-hit milestone this season. He went 8-2 on the season with a 1.26 ERA and 67 strikeouts over 44 innings. He had a .443 batting average, scored 39 runs and drove in 24 runs.

Weir served as the Lancers’ ace and ended the season with a 3-1 record, a 2.4 ERA, and 44 strikeouts. When not on the mound, he patrolled first base and provided power hitting with a .500 batting average, with 31 RBIs, scoring 31 runs himself on 26 hits and four home runs.

Shaughnessy received his first all-state selection despite breaking his leg during football season. He was one of only a handful of returning starters to the lineup from the 2025 campaign, boasting an 8-2 record on the mound with a team-leading 82 strikeouts, including a trio of double-digit strikeout performances in the postseason. He also had a .387 average in the batter’s box with 29 hits, eight doubles, a triple and a home run.

Barker was the Lancers’ Swiss Army knife in 2026, serving as catcher, infielder and pitcher this season. He hit .476 with 30 RBIs, and 23 runs scored. He smacked three home runs on the season. On the mound, Barker went 1-1 with a 5.14 ERA, striking out 27 over 23 innings.

As a constant threat on the base paths and in the outfield, Stevenson’s honorable mention was more than warranted. He finished the season just below .500 in hitting with a .493 batting average with 24 RBIs and 29 runs.

White was one of Crest’s most reliable infielders and his contact hitting continues driving in runs for the American Legion Indians. He finished the season with a .379 batting average with 20 stolen bases, 26 runs and seven RBIs.
