Allen County Wrestling Club members Trenton Jones and Andrew Garber both earned top-six finishes at the USA Wrestling Kansas Folkstyle State Championships last weekend.
They were not, however, the first in the club’s history to place at state, which was incorrectly reported in Thursday’s Register.
Three others have placed at state, including Lucas Rich, who won a state title in 2009. Trey Colborn also placed in 2007 and Dakota Settlemeier in 2008.
Coach John Taylor, who said he didn’t have access to previous years’ records, apologized for the oversight.
State wrestlers omitted
