With under two minutes remaining in a scoreless first half, Taylor House cleared a long pass down field for Allen County Community College’s Red Devils.
Matt Searcy outran the Cowley County defenders and blasted a shot past the Tiger goalkeeper. The Red Devils led 1-0 at halftime Tuesday.
They lost 3-2 in overtime to the Tigers. Christian Rodriguez had the other ACCC goal on a free kick.
Zack Hanks had five saves in goal for ACCC. The Red Devil men are 1-4-1 in Jayhawk Conference play and 2-5-1 overall.
In the women’s game, visiting Cowley County was up 5-0 when Whitney Coblentz scored on a penalty kick with 20 minutes left in the game for Allen County.
The Tiger women beat Allen County 6-1. The ACCC women are 2-6 in conference play and 3-7 overall.
