ST. PAUL Marmaton Valley was unable to capitalize Friday from its first win of the 2018 season.
The Wildcats ventured to St. Paul, and while there were a number of bright spots, the Indians showed why theyre traditionally one of the most powerful eight-man squads in the state.
St. Paul rolled to a 62-14 victory, dropping the Wildcats to 1-5 on the season and 1-2 in Kansas Eight Man II district play.
Among Marmaton Valleys highlights were William Lowders 71 yards on three carries, which included a touchdown.
Caiden Elliott rushed for 78 yards, while Gage Grffith added 29 yards on the ground.
Marmaton Valley completed only one pass on the night, but the Wildcats made it count.
Griffith connected with Isaac Heskett for 51 yards and the second Wildcat touchdown.
The Wildcats, who picked up their first win of the season a week ago against Crest, travels to Altoona-Midway next Friday in what should be a pivotal matchup in deciding who advances to the state playoffs.
