The Kansas First Upland Pioneers are hosting their fourth annual Youth Shoot Saturday at Doug Strickler’s farm on the west edge of Iola.
Free registration begins at 10 a.m.
The event is open to boys and girls 17 and under. Adult supervision is required.
Events include a mandatary safety meeting, dog demonstration, archery range, BB gun range, .22 rimfire range, air rifle range and trap shooting with 12- and 20-gauge aoptions. Shooters will get a chance to win a free gun.
A listen and learn turkey call indentification contest also is part of the activities. The winner gets to go on a mentored turkey hunt.
Lunch will be provided.
