Bob Leon Arrowood, 80, of Iola died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Allen County Hospital.
He was born July 8, 1929, in DePew, Okla., to Raymond and Leta (Rogers) Arrowood. The family moved to southern California when he was a small child.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a teletype operator from 1950 to 1954. After his honorable discharge from the service, he worked as a salesman, real estate agent and appraiser. He lived most of his years in various parts of California, moving to Kansas in 2006.
On Sept. 2, 1980, he married Linda Witt of Banning, Calif.
He is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Raymond and his wife, Sharie, Yucaipa, Calif.; a stepson, Kevin Witt and his wife, Lucinda, Iola; a brother, Ken, Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Lorena Arrowood, southern California; four grandsons, Jordon and Jeffery Arrowood, Yucaipa, Brian Flattenger, Kansas City, Mo., and Justin Witt, Iola; and one nephew and two nieces.
A niece, Debbie Stratzenski, died earlier.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapels in Iola.
