Raymond George Wing Jr., 45, Iola, passed away Feb. 5, 2017, at Allen County Regional Hospital. He was born March 3, 1971, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Raymond and Violet Wing. Two years later the family moved to Burlington, making that their home for the next 20 years.
Raymond attended Burlington schools from preschool through high school where he graduated. After graduation Raymond moved to Iola, where he remained until his passing.
Raymond is survived by a son, Devon Wilson-Wing, and a companion, Melinda Wilson, of the home; two sisters, Dora Wing of Le Roy and Michelle Harmon, Chanute; a brother, Raymond Mendoza Wing, Tacloban City, Philippines; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Violet Wing; grandparents Willard and Violet Soverns and Charles and Dora Wing; and two brothers Clarence and Joseph Wing.
A memorial for Raymond Wing has been planned for Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. at the 4-H Building at Kelly Park in Burlington. A service at Baker’s Cemetery will follow. Family and friends will return to the 4-H building for a dinner after the service.
