ACC Spirit Squad competes in contest

Before school closings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Allen Community College Spirit Squad traveled to Anaheim, Calif., to perform in the United Spirit Association National Cheer Competition. They competed in the Small Co-ed Division, performing a two-minute routine. The squad nailed its routines at each phase of the two-day competition.

The ACC Red Devil Spirit Squad took home 4th place. The squad was accompanied by coaches Mackenzie Weseloh and Marielle Melvin. Following the completion of the competition the squad and coaches were able to enjoy time as tourists. The squad was to have performed in two other competitions that were canceled due to the pandemic.
