LAHARPE — The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded a boil order for LaHarpe.

The boil order was issued last week due to a water line break that forced the city to cut water service to the community overnight Wednesday and Thursday morning.

A loss of pressure and stagnant water could lead to chlorine loss and bacteria formation, experts warned. Subsequent tests found no additional amounts of bacteria, however.
