Steve Traw’s message Sunday, “Faith is …” was based on the scripture reading this week from Hebrews 10: 35-39 11: 1-3,6.
Faith is used many times in the Old and New Testament. Hebrews 11 states, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Without faith it is impossible to please him.”
Faith is the basis of our biblical understanding. It is important to our soul. Faith is a search for God. If we do not follow His will, God will send punishment. John 3:16 tells us how to be saved, “that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Sunday, June 15, will be a busy day at the church. It is Father’s Day, Gideon Sunday and also the Fellowship dinner. The dinner will be at noon in the Fellowship Hall and fried chicken will be the main course.
A session meeting will be held June 17, at 5:45 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall.
