The Prairie Rose 4-H club met June 14 at the Bottses’ house.
Roll call was what is your favorite breed of cat or dog? Officers gave their respective reports. Club leaders announced all fair entries must be in by July 1. Club members raised $280.60 for veterans when they handed out poppies at Pete’s gas station on Memorial Day weekend. The club recognized all who helped the Moran Ruritan place flags on veterans’ graves.
The Allen County Fair Board would like 4-Hers to give talks and demonstrations on the free stage at the fair. 4-Hers should contact the Extension office if interested. After the meeting, the club held a cookout and played games.
