Prairie Rose 4-H club gets ready for fair

Members of the Prairie Rose 4-H club met Sunday, June 2, at the Moran Methodist Church.  Roll call was “What is your favorite ice cream?” Meeting was led by junior president Allison Heim. There were 11 members, two Cloverbuds, and two leaders present. 

Community reports were given by Brenda Armstrong on foods and nutrition and Kelci Botts on poppy sales and placing of the flags at the Moran Cemetery. Kim Shomaker, community leader, went over important dates and deadlines for projects and the county fair. Natalea Elmenhorst gave a talk on the bald eagle. Recreation head drawing game was lead by Kason Botts.

Next month’s meeting will be July 14 at the Moran Community Center.
