SAVONBURG — The Savonburg Public Library isn’t going to let a global pandemic spoil its fun.

The library, which hosts an annual American Girl Tea Party for daughters, mothers, and occasionally grandmothers, will do so again with some virtual panache on Tuesday.

This year’s event will be held in participants’ homes.

All are encouraged (but not required) to dress up in their Sunday finest, with dresses and hats and invite their favorite doll.

The tea partiers are asked to pose for a photo, with teacups if possible, then share them via the library’s Facebook page or via email to savonburglibrarian@gmail.com.

The library also plans to share a collection of recipes on its Facebook page.

No tickets or RSVP is required. For those unable to take part Tuesday, they can send photos to the library by next Saturday, April 25.

Organizers will send a gift to every child and their doll who takes part.

The only prerequisite is that all participants have fun, organizers noted.
