Spreading their wings

The Iola Masonic Lodge donated $5,000 to Wings of Warriors, a group that aids local cancer survivors.

Iola Masons Lodge #38 donated $5,000 to Wings of Warriors at a special presentation Saturday.

The volunteer organization was recognized for its invaluable assistance to cancer survivors throughout 11 years of operation. Jessica Oswald of Wings of Warriors said that the group has distributed over $200,000 since its founding, allowing recipients to use funds however they need.

Treasurer Karen Culver noted that there are only two criteria for receiving assistance. First, they must live in Allen County, and two, they must have cancer.
