The woman in Revelation 12:1 is an apocalyptic symbol which symbolizes Israel, the nation that gave birth to the Messiah. Heaven and earth are at war when Michael the archangel and his angels expel Satan and his fallen angelic powers from the second heaven to the earth. Now, Satan realizes his reign on earth is short and he prepares to unleash his wrath on Israel and all who are keeping Gods commandments and confessing that they belong to Jesus (Rev. 12 10-17).
