Miss Elizabeth Ann Kretzmeier and Dr. Ian Joseph Devlin were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at the Club at Crested Butte in Crested Butte, Colo.
The ceremony was officiated by Jeremy Nydegger. Ceremony readings were performed by Kathleen Devlin, mother of the groom, and Terri Kretzmeier, mother of the bride. The couple hosted a dinner and reception following the ceremony. They will share their anniversary with the bride’s parents.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Kretzmeier, Iola. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gale D. Beck, Iola, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Orville Kretzmeier, Iola. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Devlin, Topeka. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Grimshaw, Topeka, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bartley Devlin, Topeka.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a low-back custom gown of champagne satin and ivory lace. The gown was modeled after a Galia Lahav and a Maggie Sottero and featured crystal embellishment, sparkling net and beading, and was complemented by a cathedral veil. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of red and yellow roses.
Miss Elizabeth Krebs, Rock Hill, S.C., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Miss Kelsey McGie, West Des Moines, Iowa, Miss Michelle Kretzmeier, sister of the bride, Manhattan, and Mrs. Lea Green, Edgewater, Colo. The flower girl was Miss Kathryn Manthei, Fayetteville, Ark. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore floor-length gowns in red. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of roses.
Mr. Matthew Douglas, Lawrence, KS served as best man. Groomsmen included Mr. Brent Ketter, Lawrence, Mr. Shannon Devlin, cousin of the groom, Owasso, Okla., Mr. Andrew Devlin, brother of the groom, Topeka, and Mr. Aaron Cornett, Leavenworth. The ring bearer was Harper, a golden retriever to the bride and groom.
The bride is a graduate of Iola High School. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and a master in business administration, and works at FullContact in Denver, Colo. The groom is a graduate of Washburn Rural High School, Topeka. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor of arts in biology and from Parker College of Chiropractic with a doctorate in chiropractic, and works at The Joint Chiropractic in Arvada, Colo.
Following a honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica, Elizabeth and Ian reside in Broomfield, Colo.
