Humboldt tax rate is 9 percent

A story in Tuesday’s Register mistakenly reported Humboldt’s sales tax is 9.5 percent. The tax is 9.0 percent, and would increase to 9.5 only if a half-cent tax found favor with voters to pay for improvements of streets that run throughout the town’s residential areas.
