MANHATTAN The Marmaton Valley FFA team secured a state champion at recently completed State Career Development Events at Kansas Sate University.
Marmaton Valleys Milk Quality and Products team placed first overall, led by individual champion Hannah Dahl.
Her teammates werent too shabby, either. Austin Gardner finished sixth individually, followed by Haylee Meiwes in eighth and Allison Heim in 14th.
The Marmaton Valley squad will represent Kansas at the National FFA Convention in October.
There were 116 competitors and 31 teams in this competition.

The entomology team finished sixth overall, led by Haylee Meiwes, who was eighth individually.
The ag sales team was 14th overall.
The food science team finished 19th.
