Arrests reported
Iola police officers arrested Michael Jensen in the 400 block of North Cottonwood April 4 for suspicion of driving while suspended and expired registration.
William Churning was arrested April 3 for suspicion of battery, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving while suspended and no proof of insurance in the 100 block of White Boulevard.
Officers arrested Paul Porter, 44, Iola, for suspicion of possessing opiates, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, criminal use of a weapon and endangering a child after police executed a search warrant March 31 in at 210 N. First St. Porter also was cited April 6 for trespassing at Iola Walmart.
Scooter stolen
Caleb Moore told police officers April 7 somebody stole a scooter in the 500 block of East Madison Avenue.
Tools stolen
David Yarnell told Iola police officers Wednesday tools were stolen from the 500 block of South Cottonwood Street.
Generator stolen
Anderson Plumbing employees reported the theft of a generator Wednesday from the 500 block of South Sycamore Street.
Crash leads to arrest
Officers arrested Orion Roach for suspicion of driving while suspended and no insurance after he reportedly was involved in a traffic accident with Trevor Kress April 1 in the 700 block of North State Street.
Charges sought
Iola police officers executed a search warrant April 4 in the 200 block of South Buckeye Street. Charges have been requested against Jonathan Lushbough for suspected possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Accident reported
Iola police officers responded to an injury accident April 4 at the intersection of Madison and Jefferson avenues, involving Stormy Holthi and Dianna Jensen.
