The Iola High School dairy cattle judging team competed at the national level during the national FFA convention Oct. 24-27 in Indianapolis. The four members won the state dairy cattle evaluation career development event in May, earning a ticket to the national convention. The team of Brody Nemecek, Jillian Keller, Casen Barker and Elka Billings combined to place in the silver division. Individually, Barker placed in the gold division; Billings, Keller and Nemecek in the silver. The students are under the instruction of Amanda Strickler.
