Greater Vision, one of the most popular groups to visit Iola as part of the Southeast Kansas Christian Artist Series, will return to the Bowlus Fine Arts Center Saturday.

The 6 p.m. concert marks the fourth time Greater Vision has appeared at the Bowlus stage.

“We’re really excited about this concert because they’ve added Chris Allman as a tenor,” said Dee Singer, a SEKCAS board member.

Allman is a former Greater Vision member and songwriter who returned to the group in 2010.

Founded in 1990, Greater Vision has become one of the country’s most renowned gospel music trios.

Allman is joined on stage with Gerald Wolfe, the group’s founder, emcee and lead singer. Rodney Griffin handles the baritone.

They’ve appealed to audiences worldwide with their rich vocals and willingness to share the message of the gospel.

Both Singing News Magazine and the Southern Gospel Music Association have named Greater Vision as their favorite trio. They’ve also earned song, album, video and artist of the year awards.

They’re  featured regularly on the “In Touch” television program and on a number of Christian radio stations.

Tickets for Greater Vision are available for $15 orchestra seating or $12 in the balcony. Tickets at the door cost $18 and $15, respectively. Student balcony tickets sell for $6 apiece. Advance tickets can be ordered by calling 365-7496
