Iola Police Department’s annual Hooked On Fishing, Not On Drugs (HOFNOD) fishing derby is slated for Saturday morning at Abbott’s Pond, to the west of North Cottonwood Street.
The event is free for children ages 2-17.
Youngsters can pre-register at the Police Department, or they can sign up the day of the event.
Parking and entrance for the fishing derby are at Grace Lutheran Church, 117 E. Miller Rd.
