John C. Mattox, 56, Le Roy, died Saturday after the 4-wheeler he was riding crashed in rural Woodson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that Mattox was eastbound while in the north ditch of 200th Road, nearing Tadpole Road, shortly before 6:30 p.m., when his when his 2016 Yamaha Raptor 4-wheeler entered the roadway for an unknown reason and overturned.
Mattox was declared dead at the scene.
He was not wearing a helmet, troopers reported.
