Umbarger Construction workers laid a new sidewalk in the 500 block of North Cottonwood Street Friday.
The extension ensures pedestrians can use a sidewalk the entire stretch from Iola High School to Lincoln Street.
Chris Umbarger of Umbarger Construction said cold weather delayed the pour, but with unusually warm temperatures expected over the next week, it should give the sidewalk plenty of time to cure properly.
