Familiar faces in new places may be the theme in downtown Iola this summer.

Not long after looking for a new location for her wellness studio, Rhoda Morrison found an ideal spot just down the street at 110 S. Jefferson for what is now known as Native Healing LLC.

It just so happens that spot opened up after Eccentric Nail Studio completed its move from the location to 23 E. Madison Ave — Morrison’s old spot.

It wasn’t necessarily planned that way, Morrison explained, but the new site fits her needs perfectly.

“The smaller space is great,” Morrison said.

Healing Center offers ionic detoxification foot baths and an infrared sauna booth for folks with assorted aches and pains, or if they’re just looking for a spot to relax.

Morrison also has added a line of Southwest decor gift items, as well as assorted oils and lotions.

Morrison, who works during the days at Gates Corporation, is open from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
