Motorcyclist injured

An Ohio man was injured Friday morning when he struck a dog east of LaHarpe on his motorcycle. Mark Cromly, 66, was westbound on U.S. 54 and struck the dog coming from his left side near the intersection of 3000 Street, according to Allen County Sheriff Brian Murphy. Cromly was transported to a metropolitan hospital via helicopter. Murphy declined to comment on the severity of Cromly’s injuries. The dog was killed in the accident, which shut down the highway for more than 30 minutes.
