Iola police officers took 28 area youngsters on mini-shopping sprees Saturday as part of Project Care’s “Shop With a Cop” campaign. The youngsters, who are receiving assistance through Project Care — an offshoot of the local Adopt-A-Child effort — were invited to pick out the gifts they’ll receive for Christmas.
