George W. Wilkinson, 63, Uniontown, was killed Monday afternoon after his utility vehicle crashed in an alley in downtown Fort Scott.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Wilkinson was northbound in the alley of the 100 block of South State Street when his utility vehicle veered into a nearby building.
Wilkinson and a passenger, 4-year-old Bryan Wilkinson, were both taken to Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott, where the elder Wilkinson was declared dead.
Bryan Wilkinson suffered possible injuries.
Neither was wearing a seat belt.
