Wildcats drop three matches at home

Marmaton Valley hosted Pleasanton, Oswego and Jayhawk-Linn on Tuesday and struggled, falling to 0-3.

Marmaton Valley drops to 4-8 after the losses.

The Wildcats opened things up with a 25-14 and 25-22 loss to Oswego.

Patricia Outlan had eight kills and four blocks and Bailey Griffith had four kills and two blocks. Sarah Spillman had six total points.

Marmaton Valley then fell just short in a three-set loss to Pleasanton 26-28, 25-17 and 18-25.

Outlan had 16 kills and two blocks in the match followed by 10 kills and eight points for Griffith.

Paige Becker and Spillman each had five points.

The Wildcats were then swept by Jayhawk-Linn 25-14 and 25-22.

Outlan had seven kills, seven points and three blocks and Griffith had eight kills and a block.

On the junior varsity end, Marmaton Valley opened with a three-set win over Oswego 25-20, 25-14 and 15-3.

Kendall Scharff had three kills and four aces and Carissa Mattox had two kills, along with Haylee Meiwes.

The Wildcats then fell to Pleasanton in three sets 19-25, 25-15 and 12-15.

Scharff had three kills and Meiwes had three aces and two kills.

The Wildcats closed things by getting swept by Jayhawk-Linn 25-23 and 25-24.

Aly Ard had four kills and two aces and Scharff and Meiwes each had three kills.
