Yoho has been entertaining readers for the past decade with a fiction set in his home state. His writing has a reputation for delightful word play, quirky characters and plots that make readers laugh out loud. His “Moon Butter Route” was selected as a Kansas Notable Book.
His newest novel, “Me & Aunt Izzy,” is set in 1938 in fictional Buffalo County, Kan.
Yoho will sign books and have books available for purchase at the program.
THE IOLA AREA Chamber of Commerce and the library will co-sponsor “Facebook for Businesses and Organizations” at noon on Tuesday in the library’s meeting room.
Business owners may use
Facebook for personal reasons, but the idea of running a business page on the world’s largest social network might still seem intimidating.
Where do you start? How much work will it take? This class will offer instructions on how to create a Facebook business page, cover some of the reasons to set up one and why its interactive elements make it a great tool for business promotion.
Anna Catron and Mike Hayes of Allen County Community College will present this program. Those attending are invited to bring a brown bag lunch.
THE LIBRARY will offer a second “Trivia Afternoon” at 3 p.m. on Jan. 22 Teams of up to six people may participate.
Questions will be asked in 10 categories and team members may collaborate to come up with answers.
Since there is a limit of nine teams, teams should register ahead of time by calling the library at 365-3262 to register. Modest prizes will be given members of the winning team.
