Andreux J. Argento, 23, died unexpectedly at his home in Highlands Ranch, Colo., on Sept. 25, 2011. While not yet confirmed, hantavirus is suspected. At the time of his death, A.J. was a student in the aviation mechanics program at Redstone College in Broomfield, Colo.
He was passionate about cars, dirt bikes, skiing and road trips. He attended elementary school in Sonoma, Calif., and enjoyed the ocean and swimming with turtles in Hawaii and dolphins in Mexico. After he moved to the Crystal Valley, Colo., area, he attended the Carbondale Elementary School, Marble Charter School, Colorado Rocky Mountain School and Bridges High School. He demonstrated a talent for automobile mechanics.
During high school, he worked for SwedishAuto and Beyond and European Autos of Glenwood Springs. He left school to join the work force, joining the mechanic’s shop at Aspen Skiing Company. He later joined Eco Performance Automotive. He later earned his general education development (GED) certification, which allowed him to study aviation mechanics.
He is survived by his father, Carlos Ronay Jr., stepbrother Henry Berry, his loving dog Koi, his grandfather, Carlos Ronay Sr., his grandmother, Kathy Ronay, Iola, his aunts, Dale Bowen of Lake Tahoe and Amy Ronay of Aspen, Colo.; uncles Bill and Patrick Bowen of Marin County, Calif., and Tom Ronay of Midpines Calif; and several great-aunts, and great-uncles in California and Mexico and his cousins in California.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeffree Lee Bowen Argento.
Memorial services were Saturday at the Old Thompson Barn at River Valley Ranch.
