Bea (Beulah) L. James King , 75, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Houston House Nursing Home in Houston, Mo.
She was born Oct. 22, 1934, near Wann, Okla., to Paul and Emma James.
On Aug. 28, 1975, she married Leo G. King in Iola. He died July 3, 2001.
She was a member of the Catholic Church in Licking, Mo. She was  past president of St. John’s Altar Society of Iola, past president of the Fort Scott District Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and past president of the Wichita Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. She was also a past member of the Cofachique Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Iola.
She is survived by her son, Michael and his wife, Tina, Raymondville, Mo.; two grandsons, Dakota and Curtis; two granddaughters, Ashlee and Tiffany; one great-grandson; two stepdaughters, Gail King and Veronica King; three stepsons, Stephen King and his wife, Monika, Greg King and his wife. Donna, and Jeffrey King and his wife, Marie; eight stepgrandchildren; and several nephews and a niece.
Two brothers died earlier.
Services were Monday at Evans Funeral Home in Houston. Wesley Wallace officiated. Online condolences may be sent to evansfh.com.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Gas with the Rev. Robert Wachter officiating. Memorial contributions may be sent to Texas County Hospice of Care, 1333 Sam Houston Blvd., Houston, MO 65483.
