Elizabeth “Betty” Joan Johnson, 88, of Humboldt died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Humboldt.
She was born March 9, 1922, in Humboldt, to Frank W. and Fannie (Cramer) Sinclair. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1939 and Chanute Junior College in 1943.
She was a homemaker and also worked as an executive secretary for Southeast Kansas Mental Health Center for 20 years.
On July 31, 1943, she married Herbert Kenneth Johnson in Long Beach, Calif. 
He survives, as do a daughter, Marlene Weilert and her husband, Stephen, Humboldt; two sons, Kenneth A. and his wife, Nancy, Bella Vista, Ark., and Jeffrey Lynn and his wife, Sybil, Bailey, Colo.; grandchildren Jan Roe, Scott Johnson, Jennifer Stoneking, Jeremy Weilert, Brent Weilert, Justin Sinclair Johnson and Heather Lynn Johnson; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Six brothers and a sister died earlier.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Inurnment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
