Dorothy Jean Tippie McGhee passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026. She was born Sept. 17, 1933, to John and Addie (Heinlein) Tippie in rural Carlyle, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Duane McGhee; her infant daughter, Anita Rae; and her sisters, Arlene Koons and Donna West.
She is survived by her children, Leslie and wife Linda McGhee of Kincaid, Kansas, Kendall and wife Christy McGhee of Neosho Falls, Kansas, Terri and husband John Louk of Lone Elm, Kansas, and Pamela and husband Duane Campbell of Colony, Kansas.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 16, at First Christian Church, Iola. Burial will follow at the Colony Ozark Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 15, at The Venue 1883 Highway 54, Iola.
