Jean Still

Jean Still, 81, Iola, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Allen County Regional Hospital.

Jean was the first of two daughters born to Ralph “Ted” and Vesta (Wilmoth) Kelly. She was born on Aug. 25, 1936, in Iola. Jean grew up in Iola, graduating from Iola High School. She attended Allen County Community College following high school.

Jean lived most of her life in Iola, except for a few years that she lived in Wichita. She was married to Wayne Still, and they later divorced after 43 years of marriage. Throughout their marriage they enjoyed traveling and visited all of the lower 48 states.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Still; and her great-niece, Paige Edwards.

She is survived by her sister, Donna Valentine and husband Marvin, Iola; niece Teresa Edwards and husband Vic, Iola; nephew Leon Valentine and wife Sheryl, Burlington; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and her “boys” from the Iola Fire Department.

A memorial visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Calvary United Methodist Church, Iola. Memorials are suggested to the Iola Fire Department and may be left with the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com.
