Linda Rae Lind, 78, passed away at her home in Newton, Kansas on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
She is survived by her husband, Lanny; sons, Christopher (Amy) of Kansas City, Kansas, and Matthew of Overland Park, Kansas; and sister, Jacky (Hal) Martin of Fort Scott, Kansas. Her sister, Robin, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends at Petersen’s Funeral Home in Newton on Sunday, June 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Iola Masonic Lodge on Saturday, June 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. Linda has been cremated and will be interred at Highland Cemetery in Iola at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the World Central Kitchen, and may be left in the care of Petersen Funeral Home. A full obituary will be published next week.
