Randal “Randy” Joe Adams, 60, of Mannford, Okla., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010.
He was born Jan. 13, 1950, in Colony, to John Quincy and Mae M. (Ross) Adams Jr.
On June 5, 1983, he married Gerrie (Duvaul) Torkleson.
He was a certified public accountant. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Pittsburg State University and furthered his education obtaining a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas Law School and chartered financial consultant certification from The American College.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was most often joined in these activities by his sons and grandsons. His last days were spent deer hunting in Guthrie with his son, John, and grandson, Justin. He was an active member of the Eastern Oklahoma chapter of Quality Deer Management Association.
He is survived by his wife of Mannford; three sons, John Adams, Guthrie, and Craig Torkleson and his wife, Tammy, and Chris Torkleson and his wife, Melissa, Sand Springs, Okla.; and seven grandsons, Justin Adams, Guthrie; and Kyle, Alex, Scott and Isaac Torkleson and Cody and Caleb Torkleson, Sand Springs.
His parents, J.Q. Adams died March 8, 2010, and Mae Adams died Oct. 28, 2005.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kincaid-Selma United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Kincaid Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett.
