Visitation for Ennis (Blohm) Seigel of Iola, whose death on Monday was published in Tuesday’s Register, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel in Iola.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Kenneth Seigel will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Iola.
She was born Nov. 7, 1930, in Humboldt, to James Coy and Ellen Ollie (Moody) Aggers. She grew up in the Humboldt and Neosho Falls areas.
In 1947, she married Ray Blohm. They made their home in Iola. She worked as an assistant to Dr. David Hanson before becoming a certified operating room technician. She worked at Allen County Hospital for almost 30 years, retiring in 1998. He died Aug. 12, 1994.
On Sept. 7, 1996, she married Jim Seigel. They made their home in Iola.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and enjoyed bowling and attending her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s ballgames.
She is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Jeanne Ulrich and her husband, Gordon, and Pam Gurwell and her significant other, Richard Tyler, all of Iola; her former son-in-law, Keith Gurwell, Chanute; four grandchildren, Alyssa Mollins, Aaron Gurwell, Lori Moore and Brek Ulrich; eight great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, Steve Seigel, Mike Seigel and his wife, Mary Ann, Pam Cox and Karen Seigel, all of Tulsa, Okla.; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Jake Aggers and his wife, Lou, Humboldt; and a sister, Sylvia Smith, Wichita.
A grandson, Donald Leland Ulrich, a sister, Edna Goszdak, brothers, Charles, George, Clyde and Walter Aggers, and three infant siblings died earlier.
