Letter to the editor – December 12, 2020

Dear editor,

It would be a very dull world if everyone thought alike. Thankfully that’s not the case.

It’s important that we respect others’ views. Everyone has the right to be wrong if they want to be.

A lack of respect has divided our country these last few years. Donald Trump’s claims that the election was rigged is a slap in the face to all of the hard-working poll workers.

The 2020 Election will go down in history for having the largest number of votes, being the most accurate, and being so secure that Russia’s Vladimir Putin was denied his plan to hand Trump a win.

It takes a strong person to accept defeat.

I will be glad to see Jan. 20, 2021 come when we can welcome in a new administration.

Maude Burns,

Iola, Kan.
