To Allen County commissioners and hospital trustees:

I think it is time that the powers to be should realize that the land in east Iola where they want to build the hospital is in bad shape.
If they would have asked any of the people of Iola that have been here for 50 or 60 years, they could have told them what they paid an engineer to tell them.
The taxpayer’s money is still involved with this project and if the revenue falls short, the taxpayers are the ones that will have to pick it up.  If anyone has been involved in building anything that cost a lot of money, you know that it is never built for what they say is will cost; if it is there will be something that will have to be left out.
I think it is time that the county commissioners step in and look out for the citizens of Allen County. The doctors are having too much say in building this hospital.
We don’t need to be cleaning up an eyesore of Iola’s at county taxpayers’ expense that has been there for a long time.
I think the citizens of Allen County should be talking to the commissioners.
Thank you,
