Although ending their regional tournament run earlier than anticipated, the Allen Community College Red Devils Baseball Team received a few postseason accolades.
Jayhawk Conference officials named infielder Logan Martin, pitcher Saul Bolivar and designated hitter Jace Arnold as Jayhawk Conference honorable mentions.
Martin, a sophomore out of Missouri City, Texas, appeared in 46 games and ended the season with a .366 batting average while leading the Red Devils 52 hits, 14 doubles and 23 RBIs. Martin also was walked 14 times and had an on base percentage of .442.
Arnold, a freshman from Sand Springs, Okla., was second with 34 hits, 22 RBIs and a .358 batting average. Arnold also had a team-leading six home runs.
Bolivar, a sophomore from Venezuela, made 12 appearances this season while sporting a 4-3 record. He had a team-leading 57 strikeouts while also having the lowest ERA among Allen’s pitchers at 3.21 despite pitching more innings than any other Allen pitcher with 56 total.
The Red Devils ended the year 16-33. They finished seventh place finish in the Eastern Jayhawk Conference standings.
