Cubs’ Sellman takes second in Pittsburg

PITTSBURG — Humboldt sophomore Ryan Sellman continued his impressive start to the season with a second-place finish in Tuesday’s Pittsburg Invitational.
After winning tournaments in Caney and Burlington, the Pittsburg event was a bigger challenge for Sellman to face larger schools, but he passed the test with a 75 overall and closed with a 36 on the back nine.

JUNIOR VARSITY
The Cub junior varsity competed in Erie on Monday.
Reid Smith took 13th overall with a 53 while Matt Lea and Roni Bulk each posted a 55 to settle into 15th place. Jacob Fudge’s 67 got him 26th and Michael Young finished 38th.
