The Fillies earned themselves another league win on Tuesday as they went 1-1 against Wellsville and Prairie View at Osawatomie.
Iola opened up the night with a 0-2 loss to Wellsville (10-25, 19-25).
The Fillies struggled greatly in the first set, recording an ace and four kills amongst the entire team. Senior Colbi Riley recorded the team’s only block.
Set two saw improvement with Riley leading the way putting up three kills and an ace while three Fillies recorded a dig.
Business picked up significantly for Iola in their second match as they earned their second conference win of the season, beating Prairie View 2-0 (25-23, 25-15).
Junior Piper Moore outpaced her teammates in set one with five kills while Riley and Maddy Carlin each had three.
Moore had three of her team’s four aces and Riley had Iola’s only block and a team-high two digs.
The Fillies lit it up from the serving line in set two, recording eight aces including a team-high four from Mia Aronson.
Moore led the way with five kills with Sutterby following behind with two. Sutterby and Riley each had a block.
Iola will head to Eureka on Tuesday to take on the Lady Tornadoes and Fredonia.
