Iola High’s Fillies and Mustangs were seeded sixth in their respective brackets of the 2010 Kansas Class 4A Substate Basketball Tournament. The seedings and pairings came out Wednesday.
The substate tournament is hosted by Labette County High School in Altamont. First-round games are played at higher-seeded team sites.
Top seeds in the tournament are the Girard High girls (19-1) and the Coffeyville boys (16-2).

That sets up a doubleheader at Independence Monday. The girls’ game is at 6 p.m. followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m.
For the girls’ bracket, Girard hosts Coffeyville (0-8), second-seeded Labette County (15-4) hosts Parsons (6-13) and fourth-seeded Chanute (11-8) hosts Columbus (8-12). The girls’ games are on Monday with semifinals on Thursday at LCHS.
