BURLINGTON — Iola High’s junior varsity won a best 3-of-5 match against host Burlington High Monday.
The Fillies won the volleyball match 28-26, 25-14, 24-26, 25-20. Iola had just six players suited up so they played the whole time.
Hannah Endicott led the attack at the net with nine kills. Paige Miller and Emma Sigg each had six kills. Miller put up two solo blocks. Karlie Lower made two kills. Mackenzie Weseloh and Allie Cleaver each had one kill.
Weseloh was credited with 17 set assists. Endicott and Cleaver each had two defensive digs. Weseloh, Sigg, Lower and Miller had one dig apiece.
Iola missed just seven serves on the night, going 68 of 75 from the service line. Cleaver was 16 of 16 and Endicott was 14 of 14.
Endicott served up four aces while Weseloh and Cleaver each had three service aces. Sigg and Lower had two ace serves and Miller had one ace serve.
The Iola JV lost its matches last Thursday to Labette County and Coffeyville. The junior varsity joins the varsity team tonight at Girard.
