Humboldt’s Rayce Hoepker joined a very exclusive list of basketball players when he was named to the 2017 Kansas Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game.
The senior is just one of two players from Class 3A to earn an invitation to play in the game on June 24 in Salina. Each class is represented with at least one player on each roster.
“It is a huge honor to be selected to play in an all-star game of this caliber,” Hoepker said. “Most of these players are going to play college ball, which means the talent there is going to be crazy. I am thankful for the opportunity to play and glad that all the work I have put in to basketball is being recognized.”
The KBCA All-Star Game is the third All-Star showcase that Hoepker has agreed to participate in as he continues to work towards a decision on where he will continue his basketball and academic career next season. Hoepker will also play in the Southeast Kansas All-Star Game on Friday in Pittsburg and the Harold Turner All-Star Game on April 9 in Chanute.
